Ground-up construction of a new 8-story tower, including all electrical infrastructure and systems fit-out, including a full security system and an infant monitoring security system, which is designed to protect newborns and pediatric patients from abduction and misidentification.

SPECIFIC CHALLENGES: An intensive BIM coordination and design effort enabled us to route all electrical raceways from the basement through nine stories without clashes, as well as facilitated an extensive pre-fabrication effort. The successful layout of the underground systems, which incorporated electrical vaults beneath each piece of switchgear, minimized overhead conduits and allowed for earlier installation of conductors, and helped mitigate congestion above ceilings.
