HARTFORD HOSPITAL SUBSTATION

Demolition of existing gear and installation of a new 11kV substation.

SPECIFIC CHALLENGES: Installing GRC throughout the existing hospital tunnels was challenging due to the very limited space. In addition, rigging and setting (2) 75,000-pound substations required extensive planning to ensure each unit fit safely within the available footprint. Integration system controls needed to be modified and coordinated with the utility.
