CIGNA

Project Scope:

Extensive renovations and infrastructure upgrades at the Main Campus Wilde Building as well as the off-site Data Center.

Dinto replaced the entire air handling system for the 685,000 sq. ft. Wilde Building in Bloomfield.

The main campus received a new turn-key security and intrusion system. Cameras, license plate readers, and a card key system were installed in completely concealed raceways so as not to impact the aesthetics of the architecturally awarded structure. Data Center UPS replacements included new 2000A switchboards integrated into the existing line-up. To facilitate, temporary mobile UPS systems maintained the backup for the building during the 6 month cutovers.

Project Challenges:

  • Work on both campuses was conducted with fully occupied buildings.
  • Shutdowns and conversions were conducted while maintaining functional air systems through the use of temporary large air handling equipment.
  • Data center outages were coordinated with the owner and handled during off peak demand as well as swing shifts to seamlessly facilitate tie-ins.
